Self-satisfaction
Even though today was a lot more work and a lot less carefree, I loved helping run the Tomo meeting with the rest of the interns. I guess for me, knowing that I’m contributing so much to a community that I care about makes me much happier and more appreciative for it. Even if it makes me tired and I lose my voice as a result… it’s all out of love (:
Excuse me while I rant
America is not free from racism. It’s nowhere free from it, actually. The racism that existed during the Civil War, during the 60’s, still exists. Sure, it’s not the same, in many ways, it has “improved,” but disappeared?! Not one bit. No, I’d say that it just appears in different forms, maybe targeted towards different people, with different methods.
